Frankenstein Baby Born At Florida Hospital On Halloween

A Florida couple got an unexpected extra treat on Halloween – their own baby Frankenstein.

Make that Oskar Gary Frankenstein, who made his entrance into the world two days late and after 14 hours of labor on Tuesday at Winter Park Memorial Hospital in Winter Park, near Orlando.

Baby Frankenstein weighed in at 6 pounds, 9 ounces, and is 20 inches long, his parents Kyle and Jessica Frankenstein told news outlets.

Jessica told ABC that even though her first-born’s due date of October 29 meant he could possibly be born on Halloween, she didn’t think such a coincidence would materialize.

“Honestly, I didn’t think he would hold out until Halloween. My husband and I discussed what it would be like having him on Halloween and how neat it would be when he gets older,” she said.

The baby is the Frankenstein family’s first baby born on Halloween, his grandmother Jennifer told WKMG.

However, Oskar has an aunt who shares a birthday with “Frankenstein” author Mary Shelley.

“I am utterly in love with this little man and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect baby,” Oskar’s mom added.
